Dunsborough & Harvey share the spoilsSunday, 26 April 2009 00:00 The new look Dunsborough women’s team continue to impress with their team work and ability to restrict the opposition in the South West Association’s Women’s Premier League following their 0-0 draw against Harvey on Sunday.Unfortunately they are having trouble finding the net in attack to turn dominance into victory. In their first three league matches Dunsborough certainly looked the winning side against Bunbury United, Collie and Harvey onlu to have to settle for two draws and a loss. The loss to Bunbury was particularly galling having restricted the opposition to only one shot on goal in the second-half while creating a stream of chances for themselves. That one shot in the final minute of play provided Bunbury with the three points. Coach Martyn Mulley can at least point to a positive that his young side (most are teenagers) are melding as a unit while solving the goalscoring problem will almost certainly provide Dunsborough with the means of making a strong statement for the rest of the season. The club has strong players in Belinda Perna, Emma Olsen, Chelcie Winchcombe, and Joey Schleuter to name just four. This week, however, they face the powerful Bunbury Dynamo, one of the best women’s teams in the South West. |
